Alicia Sawtell

Alicia Sawtell serves Flourish families as  a dedicated birth assistant and  attends all births alongside Morgan Gaines CPM in a supportive role, holding and maintaining all appropriate certifications and skills. She is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through Doula Training International, supporting families during their prenatal, labor, birth and postpartum for over ten years in the Seacoast of New Hampshire and Southern Maine. She is passionate about holding space, providing emotional and physical nourishment and education throughout the childbearing year. Her yearning to work with families began when she spent time at Maternidad La Luz, a rural clinic serving women in Talpetates, El Salvador when she was in college. Alicia lives in Newmarket, NH with her partner and wild brood of four. When she is not at a birth, teaching birth classes or supporting families during the fourth trimester, she can be found in the woods and on the water running outdoor enrichment programs for youth, homeschooling her children and cooking for any and all coming through her door. Alicia believes deeply that by reclaiming birth and community, curiosity and childhood, we will rekindle the forgotten parts of our spirit that we, as a people we are aching for.
